Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Angered by love affair, father and brother killed the teenager, tied the dead body in a sack and threw it in the Ganges
A case of honor killing has come to light in a village in Kotwali area. Unhappy with the love affair with the youth of the village, the father and brother of the teenager killed her and threw the body in the Ganges. The girl was missing for five days.
Lover had lodged a missing
Three days ago, while registering the missing report of the girl, the young man had expressed suspicion of having committed some untoward incident. Sensation spread after the girl’s body was recovered from the Ganges in a closed sack on Saturday.
Accused family absconding from home
The police have registered a case against the father and brother of the teenager under sections of murder and concealment of evidence. At the same time, the accused family is said to be absconding from the house.
Love affair with young man
A young man, Monu Kumar, a village resident of Bhikkampur police outpost area of Laksar Kotwali, was having a love affair with a teenager from his own fraternity of the village. He objected to the girl’s relatives being aware of it, but the teenager did not agree.
The decision of marriage was taken on attaining adulthood
Five days ago the girl went missing under suspicious circumstances. When there was no contact with the teenager, the young man gave a complaint in Laksar Kotwali on August 9 and told that he is having an affair with a teenager from the village, but he is still 17 years old. On attaining adulthood, both of them had taken the decision of marriage.
Dead body found in sack on the banks of ganga
Now she has gone missing under suspicious circumstances. The young man had expressed apprehension of something untoward with the girl. After registering a missing person, the police was looking for the girl. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the girl’s dead body was found in a sack on the banks of the Ganges river at some distance from the village.
Case registered against father and brother
SSI Ankur Sharma of Laksar Kotwali reached the spot and identified the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. Simultaneously, while converting the missing case into murder, prima facie, the girl’s father Madan and brother Ravi were named Case Filed.
Search is on for the accused
SP Countryside Parmendra Dobal said that the family of the deceased has fled. A case of murder and concealment of evidence has been registered against his father and brother. Search is on for the accused. He will be arrested soon.
