Veteran investor and stock market expert Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passed away in Mumbai on Sunday. His age was 62 years. It has been told that he was discharged from the hospital two to three weeks ago. He was admitted to the hospital due to health problems. His treatment was going on at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he died at 6.45 am on Sunday. This has been confirmed by the hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also condoled the death of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.

Some reports are claiming that Jhunjhunwala died due to cardiac arrest. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was born on July 5, 1960 in Hyderabad, Telangana. He studied Chartered Accountant. About a week ago, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala also started his airline Akasa. The first plane of his Akasa Airlines took off from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on 7 August. He started this company along with aviation businessmen Aditya Ghosh and Vinay Dubey.
