Ola’s first electric car will arrive in 2024
Ola Electric has announced to bring its first electric car on the occasion of Independence Day. The company’s CEO Bhavish Agarwal gave a glimpse of Ola’s first electric car. He told that the range of the car will be 500 km. Also, it will catch the speed of 100 kilometers per hour in 4 seconds.
Bhavesh Aggarwal said that Ola’s first car will be equipped with great technology. This will be the first sports car in the country to be made in the electric segment. The car will not only be keyless but also handle less. That is, the car can be started without a key. Also, the door of the car will not have handles. This futuristic car will be launched by 2024.
All-glass roof
The Ola electric car will have an all-glass roof. This will improve the aero-dynamics of the car. That is, there will be no obstruction by the wind in catching the speed of the car. It will also get assisted driving features. He said that the plan is to develop two vehicle platforms and six different cars. All these will be made in a factory in Tamil Nadu.
Ola S-1 electric scooter also launched
Apart from the car, the company has launched Ola S-1 in the market. Bhavish said that the booking of the new Ola S-1 scooter is starting from today itself. It can be booked at a special introductory price by paying Rs 499. The deliveries of the new e-scooter will start from September 7.
Talking about the design, the Ola S-1 looks very similar to the S-1 Pro and is based on this platform. The company’s CEO Bhavesh Agarwal said that the starting price of Ola S1 will be Rs 99,999.
Along with the car, the company has also shown Ola’s new electric battery. It will be used in Ola electric cars and scooters. It will be a lithium-ion battery. Once all the testing process is completed, these batteries will be installed on Ola vehicles till next year. Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal has also shown off a prototype battery pack.
