Explosion in Kabul mosque during Maghrib prayers, over 20 dead; 40 injured

An explosion occurred during Maghrib prayers at a mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. More than 20 people have died in the incident, while 40 people are reported to be injured. According to Tolo TV’s Telegram channel, an explosion was heard on Wednesday evening at the ‘Abubakir Sediq’ mosque in Khairkhana, Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
Taliban security officials said the blast occurred in the PD-17 area of Kabul. Taliban security personnel have reached the spot. Masjid cleric Amir Mohammad Kabuli also died in the blast.
