Jammu and Kashmir : LG gave shoulder to the dead body of ITBP jawans

Tributes were paid to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) personnel killed in Kashmir’s Pahalgam in Srinagar on Wednesday. Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha was also present on the occasion. He shouldered the bodies of the ITBP jawans. The bodies of the jawans will be sent to their homes from Srinagar.

An ITBP bus fell into a 100 feet deep gorge in Pahalgam at 11.10 am on Tuesday. 7 soldiers died in the accident. There were 39 ITBP personnel and 2 Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel in the bus. The accident took place due to failure of the brakes of the bus. All the jawans were returning from duty after doing Amarnath Yatra. The jawans were coming to Pahalgam from Chandanwadi, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. In between, the driver lost control and the bus fell into the ditch.

These soldiers died in the accident
The names of the killed ITBP jawans are Head Constable Dula Singh (Taran Taran, Punjab), Constable Abhiraj (Lakhisarai, Bihar), Constable Amit K (Etah, UP), Constable D Raj Shekhar (Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh), Constable Subhash C Bairwal ( Sikar Rajasthan), Constable Dinesh Bohra (Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand) and Constable Sandeep Kumar Jammu.

Treatment of seriously injured soldiers going on in Srinagar
ITBP DG SL Thaosen said that seven soldiers lost their lives in the accident. Eight seriously injured jawans have been taken to Srinagar for treatment. The rest are being treated at a hospital in Anantnag. At the same time, according to the DIG of Jammu and Kashmir, Ranbir Singh, the seriously injured soldiers have been brought to the 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar. The condition of the rest of the jawans is stable.
