11 convicts released from Godhra sub-jail

11 convicts, who were serving life term in the Bilkis Bano case, were released from the Godhra sub-jail on Monday. The Gujarat government had approved the release of these people under its amnesty policy. A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Mumbai on January 21, 2008 sentenced 11 convicts to life imprisonment for the gang-rape of Bilkis Bano and murder of seven members of his family.
