According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain around August 19 under the influence of a low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal. In Uttar Pradesh, there is a rain alert in many districts including Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Sonbhadra. Strong winds are blowing due to the low pressure area. There will be a chance of rain in case the monsoon moves above the trough. Cloudy rains can occur in UP for the next 2-3 days. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in 40 districts of UP till August 19. The Meteorological Department has forecast that the next 2-3 similar weather will be there. In these districts, there is a warning of lightning with thunder. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for Lucknow, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Barabanki, Kanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bijnor, while a yellow alert has been issued for Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich.

Heavy rain expected in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains have been forecast in Saurashtra, Kutch on August 18 and Konkan and Goa on August 20- 21. At the same time, till August 21, along with Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, there may be rain in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand. In Chhattisgarh, a warning and alert of heavy rain has been issued at different places till August 21. Similarly, on August 21, there may be heavy rain in Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Odisha till August 22.

Talking about Delhi-NCR, there is a possibility of some rain in the weekend. Today’s maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature will be around 26 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy sky today. It will not rain here today and tomorrow. There is a possibility of rain from 20th to 23rd and a yellow alert has been issued for 21st.

Heavy rain alert in 20 districts of Odisha

The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ warning of heavy rains in 20 districts of Odisha today i.e. on Thursday. Along with this, ‘Orange Alert’ has also been issued in 17 districts amid warnings of very heavy rains on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, 20 districts including Cuttack, Puri and Khurda may receive heavy rains today. On Friday, an ‘orange alert’ was issued in 17 districts including Cuttack, Kendrapara and Sambalpur, anticipating very heavy rains. The Meteorological Office has issued a red alert on Saturday, forecasting very heavy rainfall in seven districts of Kalahandi and western Odisha.

According to the weather, from August 18, rain activities will reduce sharply in most parts except Jaisalmer and Barmer districts of western Rajasthan.
