Uttarakhand: IAS Sowjanya relieved from government, preparation for study leave of two bureaucrats, shortage of 17 officers will be complete

Sowjanya, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, has been relieved from the government. She will take over as the Joint Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSA). Along with Sowjanya, two more IAS officers are preparing to go abroad on study leave.

Three IAS officers posted in Uttarakhand Secretariat are going to be reduced. Among them, one IAS officer Sowjanya got relieved on Wednesday. Sowjanya was looking after the responsibility of the Chief Electoral Officer in addition to the Secretary Election, Finance and Information Technology. Now Secretary Shailesh Bagauli will also look after the charge of Information Technology along with his other departments. IAS officer Dilip Jawalkar has been given the charge of election along with Secretary Finance and Civil Aviation.

Radhika Jha and Ashish Srivastava to go on study leave
Secretary Radhika Jha and Additional Secretary Dr. Ashish Srivastava are also preparing to go abroad on study leave. Both the officers have applied for study leave to the Department of Personnel and Vigilance. According to sources, IAS Radhika Jha, who is looking after the responsibility of Secretary Health, will go on study leave next month.

Savin Bansal returns, will also get 17 IAS
IAS officer Savin Bansal has returned from study leave abroad. The Personnel Department will deploy them in the coming few days. The government will short three IAS from the 17 IAS officers promoted from PCS. There is every possibility of 17 new IAS officers joining the IAS cadre this week.

About 82 IAS deployed in the cadre of 126
There are a total of 126 posts in the IAS cadre of Uttarakhand, out of which 82 are posted in the IAS government and on central deputation. After getting 17 IAS officers, their number will increase. Some of these officers are already posted at the level of Additional Secretary.
