Uttarakhand / Udhamsinghnagar : People’s life became miserable due to the cloud of dust

The dust storm on the link road being built from Gadarpur to Gularbhoj via Balramnagar-Sitapur has made life difficult for the local people. Road construction was stalled due to the lifting of soil for the bypass road under construction on NH-74. At present the earth lifting work is over but the work of asphaltization on the link road has not started yet. Water sprinkling is also not being done to get relief from the dusty soil flying on the link road.

Village head Kavita Gumbar and former head Deepak Ganda, due to non-sprinkling of water, dusty soil is also affecting the business. Similarly, Kusum Devi, a resident of Bishanpur, Sangeeta Grover, a resident of Balram Nagar, said that due to dust and soil, they have to face a lot of trouble in commuting.

Here Paras Goyal, managing director of Kumar Infratech, which is constructing the road from Gadarpur to Gularbhoj via Balramnagar-Sitapur, says that keeping in mind the rainy season, the work of asphaltization on the link road will be started from the first week of September. He said that water sprinkling is done from time to time in public places.
