Chhattisgarh : Second installment of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana released, CM transferred 1750 crores in the account of 26 lakh farmers, Rahul Gandhi praised

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday released an additional amount of one thousand 750 crores for justice schemes. This also includes the second installment of 2021 under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Last year’s first installment was released on May 21. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to the Chief Minister praising Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the state government for this scheme.

In a simple function organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, the Chief Minister released the second installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana for the Kharif year 2021. Under this, an amount of one thousand 745 crores was transferred to 26 lakh 21 thousand farmers as input subsidy in their bank accounts. Earlier on May 21, one thousand 745 crore rupees were paid in the first installment of the scheme. The Chief Minister said that this amount of input subsidy is being given to the farmers to reduce the cost of crops, increase productivity, promote crop diversification.

The Chief Minister has also paid Rs 5 crore 24 lakh to the people associated with Godhan Nyay Yojana. Out of this amount, Rs 2 crore 64 lakh has been paid to cow dung vendors and Rs 2 crore 60 lakh to Gauthan committees and self-help groups. More than 2 lakh 52 thousand cattle farmers are directly benefiting by selling rural cow dung from Godhan Nyay Yojana. These include more than one lakh 43 thousand landless people. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana of Chhattisgarh, the government is buying cow dung at the rate of Rs 2 per kg and cow urine at the rate of Rs 4 per liter through Gauthan.

Now payment of 14,665 crores in Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana

Since the launch of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana, including the amount released on Saturday, 14 thousand 665 crore rupees have been paid as input subsidy to the farmers. The scheme started in 2019. That year 18 lakh 43 thousand farmers were paid Rs 5 thousand 627 crore as input subsidy in 4 installments. At the same time, input subsidy of Rs 5 thousand 553 crore was given to 20 lakh 59 thousand farmers in 2020.

dung sellers earned 155.60 crores

So far, Rs 335 crore 24 lakh has been paid to the people associated with Godhan Nyay Yojana. This scheme was launched in July 2020. Since then only 155 crore 60 lakh rupees have been paid to those selling cow dung. 154.02 crore has been paid so far to the Gothan committees and self-help groups that manage the scheme. Out of this, only women groups associated with Gauthans have earned an income of Rs.78 crore 62 lakh. So far 8 thousand 408 Gauthans have been made across the state.

Schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Narva, Garwa, Ghurva, Bari Yojana reflect the commitment of the Government of Chhattisgarh towards social justice and welfare. Be it small farmers, Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs or women, every section of the society has benefited from our pro-people agenda. He said that we believe that a society can be changed only when it empowers its weakest members.
