CBI’s reply after confusion over lookout notice against Manish Sisodia

The CBI is preparing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Excise Case. In fact, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are attacking the investigation agency regarding the lookout notice against Sisodia. After this, CBI sources have clarified that the agency can soon issue a look out notice which is in the process.
Earlier, CBI sources had said that look out circulars were issued against Manish Sisodia and 14 others in the excise policy case. Later sources clarified, “Look out circulars are in process, not yet issued.”
Two accused not found at their place
Sources also said that on Friday, two accused remained absent during the investigation in the premises of the accused. Summons have been issued against him and he has been asked to join the investigation. Manish Sisodia tweeted an old video of PM Modi on the news of the lookout notice, in which he is seen targeting the CBI as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Sisodia told that nothing was found in the CBI raids in his house.
What happens when lookout circular is issued?
On issuance of the lookout circular, the concerned investigating agency may inform the Bureau of Immigration (BoI) about the person who may leave the country without informing the enforcement agency. The Immigration Bureau then updates the list of lookout notices to its officials at immigration checkpoints at international airports and seaports.
Some categories of lookout notices prohibit the person from leaving the country, but in some, the person can leave the country after taking proper permission and informing the relevant law enforcement agency.
