Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Case filed against trustee and priest of Mansa Devi temple, action taken on woman’s complaint

The police have registered a case against three people including a trustee, employee and chief priest of Mansa Devi Temple Trust after the order reached on Sunday from the court. Shashi Thakur, a resident of GMS Road, Indrapuram, Dehradun, had submitted an application in the court stating that her uncle Rama was rented out by the Mansa Devi Temple Trust for a canteen shop in the temple premises.

After the death of his uncle in the year 2014, the trust gave him that shop on rent of twenty thousand rupees annually. It is alleged that in the year 2015, forcibly tried to evict him from the shop. Told that on April 4, 2022, the present trustee of Mansa Devi Temple Trust Bindu Giri, trust employee Dwarka Mishra, chief priest Suresh Tiwari entered his shop with the intention of capturing.

When the woman showed him the order of the court, he and his daughter were molested. Along with this, the accused left after threatening to kill the woman and the woman’s daughter. The victim says that she gave a complaint in this matter to the city Kotwali.

But the police did not listen. Kotwal Rakendra Kathait told that the police have started investigation by registering a case against the trustee of Mansa Devi temple Bindu Giri, employee Dwarka Mishra and chief priest Suresh Tiwari.
