Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : A young man jumped into the Ganges under suspicious circumstances, missing

Under suspicious circumstances, a young man jumped from the barrage bridge into the Ganges. The incident was captured in the footage of nearby CCTV cameras. On information, the SDRF team conducted a search operation from Barrage to Bhimgouda Haridwar in search of the missing youth.

According to the Kotwali police, information was received that Vipin Panwar (40) son Dilip Singh Panwar resident of street number eight, twenty bigha, Rishikesh had left the house at around nine in the morning, but did not return till noon. According to the police, the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was scanned, in which a person was seen jumping into the Ganges. The person seen in the CCTV footage looks like a missing person from twenty bighas. The search operation is going on due to the possibility of him drowning in the Ganges. AIIMS outpost in-charge Manwar Singh said that the family members came to know during interrogation that Vipin works as a contractor. He was troubled by debt. On the other hand, SDRF Inspector Kavinder Sajwan said that the search operation will be conducted again on Tuesday.
