T Raja Singh suspended from BJP, gave provocative statements even before the Prophet controversy

BJP MLA from Goshamahal in Telangana T Raja Singh was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Police said that a case has been registered under sections of the law regarding insult to religious faith. Against him, a large number of Muslim youth had gathered outside the commissioner’s office in Hyderabad last night and raised slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’. On the other hand, BJP has suspended him from the party.
This is not the first time that BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who has commented on Prophet Mohammad, has made a provocative statement. In the past too many cases are registered against him for hate speech. He is known for making inflammatory remarks. Despite all the statements, in the year 2018, he managed to win the Goshamahal assembly seat.
BJP suspended
BJP has taken action on T Raja Singh’s provocative statement. The party has issued a show cause notice to him and sought his reply. He has been suspended from the party till the investigation is completed.
Facebook has also banned
T Raja Singh, known for his “inflammatory” comments, has dozens of cases against him, mostly for “hate speech”. In the year 2020, social media platform Facebook banned the politician from the platform and Instagram for allegedly promoting hatred.
T Raja Singh was the floor leader of BJP
T Raja Singh was a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and later joined the BJP. He is currently the floor leader of the BJP in the Vidhan Sabha. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had campaigned for him during the Telangana Assembly elections.
