Uttarakhand / Haridwar : BJP leader’s son arrested in property dealer murder case

The police has arrested the son of an absconding BJP leader in connection with the murder of a property dealer on July 27 on the railway road of Gangnahar Kotwali area. Two accused in this case are still out of the grip of the police, while three have been arrested by the police. Police have also recovered a rifle in this case. On July 27, Gangnahar Kotwali police found the body of property dealer Imran in the Sai Complex located near the railway road. Imran had fallen from the guest house of former chairman of Matsya Federation and BJP leader Ashok Verma. In this case, Ainul, a resident of Garhi Sanghipur of Laksar Kotwali area, had filed a case against four including Ashok Verma on July 27 itself. Three days after the incident, the police arrested three accused including Shivkumar, Bijendra and sent them to jail. While BJP leader Ashok Verma and his son Rijul were absconding. Police was continuously raiding in search of the accused. The police got information that Rijul has come to the house in Geetanjali. On which the police team raided in the morning and arrested the accused. The police also recovered a licensed rifle on his behest. According to the police, Rijul was seen with a rifle a day before the incident.
