BJP leader Khushboo Sundar said on the release of the convicts of Bilkis, a decision to shame humanity

The BJP’s women office bearers may have kept silence on the Gujarat government’s decision to release the 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano gangrape case, but the party’s national executive member Khushboo Sundar has raised her voice against it. He has demanded justice for the victim. Actress and BJP leader Khushboo Sundar said in a tweet, “A woman who was raped, harassed and she is extremely scared, should get justice. No one involved in this case should be set free.
He further said, if a guilty is released like this then it is a decision to shame humanity. This is a compromise on the respect of women. Be it Bilkis Bano or any other woman, she should get justice above politics and ideology. On the other hand, BJP Mahila Morcha’s national president Vanati Srinivasan said that the decision of releasing the culprits is with the Gujarat government, so it should not be given political anger.
Srinivasan said, the guilty have been released by exercising the powers which have been given to the government. He also said that crimes against women need to be taken seriously. No one differs from this view. Let us tell you that during the Gujarat riots, Bilkis Bano was gang-raped. Apart from this, 7 members of his family were murdered. In this case, in the year 2008, the CBI court had sentenced 11 convicts to life imprisonment.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis had also objected to the reception after the release of the convicts. He had said that the manner in which the culprits were welcomed with flower garlands could not be justified at any level. A criminal is a criminal and his act cannot be justified.
