Russo-Ukraine war completes 6 months, 70 thousand Russian soldiers casualties, yet Putin remains uncrowned emperor

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has completed 6 months and there is still a fierce war between the two countries. This war has caused millions of Ukrainians to leave their homes and be displaced, while thousands of soldiers have lost their lives. Billions of dollars in property have been destroyed by the Russian attacks that began on February 24. The city of Mariupol in Ukraine has been erased from the map of Ukraine. The US Defense Ministry, the Pentagon, believes that between 70 and 80 thousand Russian soldiers have been killed in this attack. Experts say that even if this figure is to be considered high, yet more soldiers have been killed in the Ukraine war in just 6 months than the Soviet Union lost in the Afghanistan war that lasted for a decade. Even after this, Russian President Vladimir Putin does not appear to be in a mood to give up.

Experts say that even after this huge loss, Putin’s popularity has not decreased. Most of the Russian public has either supported the ongoing war in Ukraine or has silently watched Putin’s campaign. Not only this, the Ukraine war has not had any effect on Putin’s rating. Both Russian government and independent agencies have found in their survey that Putin’s approval rating has remained 80 percent since February 24. Not only this, in a survey conducted in June, 72 percent of the Russian public said that they support special military operations in Ukraine. Western analysts say that Russian leaders are keeping their people in their court on the strength of propaganda. The Russian public is not being told that a Ukrainian missile sank a Russian warship. They are saying that there was an accidental explosion at the Russian air base.

16,380 people arrested in Russia for anti-war protests!
An independent Russian media organization has revealed on the basis of local news and social media posts that 5,185 Russian soldiers have been killed in the war in Ukraine so far. Western analysts say that most of the Russian soldiers killed in this war come from poor areas of the country. The areas of Russia from which the most deaths have been reported are Dagestan and Buryatyan, Mediazona. At the same time, there have been little reports of deaths from Moscow and St Petersburg, two of Russia’s richest regions. OVD-Info, an organization that monitors the detention of people in Russia, says that 16,380 people have either been arrested or detained for anti-war protests.

Many analysts have expressed doubts that if this continues, it is difficult to say how long Putin will be able to maintain his popularity. That too when many countries of the world have imposed sanctions against Russia, due to which it is isolated. At the same time, the Russian economy is also going through a very bad phase. The aviation sector in Russia has been heavily affected, which is heavily dependent on Boeing and Airbus passenger planes made in the US and Europe. Experts say that Russia had started preparations for the past several years to protect itself from Western sanctions. They have brought their goods in place of imported goods. It has created its own payment system to avoid economic blockade. On the other hand, European countries have stopped importing gas from Russia, which is making it very difficult for Putin to sell it.

Know what Zelensky and NATO countries are planning now
Experts say that Russia does not yet have enough infrastructure to reduce its deficit by exporting gas to the countries of Asia. Even after this, Russia’s financial system is still not destroyed. The problems faced by Russian consumers have not led to political unrest in Russia. On the other hand, Ukraine and its supporters are trying to inflict maximum pain on the Russian people who are indirectly supporting Putin. Ukraine’s President Zelensky said in his recent speech, ‘We are working on new sanctions against Russia. At the same time, they are trying to hold the Russian people responsible for supporting Putin in this terrorist act.

There has been a discussion that people with Russian passports should not be given visas to Europe. Supporters of this demand continue to grow. However, there are some European countries, such as Germany, which are opposing the imposition of visa restrictions on Russian citizens. The German president says this is Putin’s war going on in Ukraine and not the war of the Russian people. At the same time, the next 6 months can now be very painful for the European public. They have to be prepared to pay more money for energy. That too when winter is coming. On the other hand, the people of Ukraine have also vowed to fight till the last breath to save their existence.
