9 MLAs did not reach Kejriwal’s meeting, Delhi CM said – BJP is preparing to spend 800 crores to topple the government
Political ruckus continues on Thursday in Delhi on the issue of ‘Operation Lotus’. A meeting of the legislature party was called at the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in which 9 MLAs including Deputy CM Manish Sisodia did not reach. However, regarding Sisodia, the party said that he has gone on a Himachal tour. At the same time, according to sources, the party high command is not even able to contact some of the MLAs.
After the meeting, Kejriwal reached Rajghat and paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He said- BJP is trying to buy 40 of our MLAs. 20-20 crore is being offered to all the MLAs. BJP wants to topple Delhi government by spending 800 crores. AAP has 62 and BJP 8 seats in the 70-seat Delhi Assembly.

- AAP’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said that there is no threat to the Delhi government. The government is stable and the MLAs who have not come have gone out of their work. BJP has offered 12 of our MLAs to leave the party.

BJP burns effigy of Sisodia in Delhi
BJP demonstrated in Delhi against Manish Sisodia over corruption in liquor policy case. Under the leadership of state president Adesh Gupta, party leaders also burnt the effigy of Manish Sisodia. At the same time, posters of ‘Gali-Gali Mein Shor Hai, Sisodia Chor Hai’ were also put up.
AAP had accused of horse-trading with 4 MLAs
On Wednesday, in a press conference by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), AAP leader Sanjay Singh had disclosed about Operation Lotus. He said that the BJP made an offer to our MLAs. The offer was that if you leave AAP, you will give 20 crores and if you bring others along, you will give 25 crores.
Sanjay Singh said- Our MLAs Sanjeev Jha, Somnath Bharti, Kuldeep Kumar and another MLA have been offered Rs 20 crore by the BJP in exchange for leaving the party. Somnath Bharti was also in the press conference with Sanjay Singh. He said that BJP people told me that 20 more AAP MLAs are in touch with us.
Tension between AAP and BJP in Delhi since August 19
The CBI raided Manish Sisodia’s house on August 19 for the first time in Delhi regarding the excise policy. This raid lasted for about 14 hours, after which the CBI had registered a case in this case under the PMLA Act. Since then, AAP has been vocal against the ruling party BJP at the Centre. Sisodia had said after the raid that the BJP had offered him to leave AAP and become the CM.
At the same time, BJP said in response – Aam Aadmi Party is creating an atmosphere of lies to avoid the allegation of corruption. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra had said on Wednesday that Manish Sisodia will have to answer.
