90 protesters arrested from Hyderabad, who were released from Owaisi’s interference on Prophet’s comment controversy, lashed out at Raja Singh
90 protesters who were protesting over alleged derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad were arrested from Hyderabad. However, after the intervention of AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, all these people have been released. These people were protesting against the alleged controversial remarks made by T Raja Singh, controversial Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Telangana on Prophet Mohammad. These people were protesting in the old city of Hyderabad for the third consecutive day over the alleged derogatory remarks made on social media.
Asaduddin Owaisi said in a tweet, “On my representation to DCP South, 90 youths protesting Shah Ali Banda and Asha Talkies have been released. AIMIM MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala and our councilors worked throughout the night to defuse the tension. I have been in touch with him and the police as well.”
According to Owaisi, in one case the police forcefully used force and entered a house and detained five youths. He said, “The youth were released from Kanchanbagh police station at 1:30 am. In one case, the police had used force and had entered a house and detained 5 youths. This is not acceptable. Released on my representation. I asked my councilors to release the youths back home.”
Demanding the arrest of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA T Raja Singh, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday said the protests in parts of Hyderabad were directly But this is the result of the alleged hate speech of the BJP leader. The MP from Hyderabad said on Twitter, “This situation is a direct result of Raja Singh’s hate speech. He should be sent to jail as soon as possible. I once again reiterate my appeal to maintain peace. Hyderabad is our home, it should not fall victim to communalism.”
There have been sporadic incidents of protests against Raja Singh in some sensitive areas of the city. Singh was arrested on August 23 for allegedly making remarks about Islam and Prophet Mohammad in a video. The video was later removed by social media platforms. Singh was granted bail by a local court. Protests erupted in parts of the city after he was granted bail by the court which lasted till Wednesday afternoon.
