Madhya Pradesh / Dindori : When the wife died, the husband buried the body at home, did not perform the last rites
A strange case has come to light in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. Here a husband buried the dead body in his house after the death of his wife. Actually, Omkar Das Mogre is a teacher. He got married 25 years ago. During this time both of them did not have any child. Although he loved his wife very much. According to the information, Rukmini was suffering from sickle cell disease. Omkar could not believe that his wife had died, later he buried the body in his own house.
Neighbors reached the police station
Neighbors also reached his house after receiving the news of Omkar’s wife’s death. When it came to know that they had buried the dead body in the house, the local people got scared. Many people reached the police station. The police refused to act in this case. After this, the neighbors reached the SDM with a complaint. There action was assured.
Police reached the spot
Following the instructions of the SDM, the police reached Omkar’s house on Wednesday 24 August. Omkar told- He has buried the body of his wife. The police got the body of Rukmini out after digging the house.
The last rites took place on the banks of Narmada
On the persuasion of the police, Omkar performed the last rites of his wife on the banks of Narmada as per the customs. The nephew told that the maternal uncle cannot live alone without the maternal uncle, so he took such a step.
