Uttarakhand : In-charge Secretary Health R Rajesh Kumar sought clarification, The parents had gone to get the child treated, the doctor was intoxicated

On Tuesday midnight, a doctor posted in the Emergency Department in Almora’s District Hospital was found intoxicated. He was so intoxicated that he was not even in a position to write the letter. Now the sword of action hangs on the said doctor. In-charge Secretary Health has taken cognizance of the matter. Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Secretary-in-charge of the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, has taken cognizance of the case of indecency and drunkenness with the relatives who arrived for treatment at night by the Medical Officer of the Emergency Room, Dr. Uddhav Singh.

On which the secretary-in-charge has sought immediate clarification from Dr. Kusum Lata, Principal Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Almora. It has been asked that after two days of the said incident, what action has been taken against him. For this, a complete explanation of the entire incident will have to be given to the government within three days.

The secretary-in-charge said that such incidents would not be acceptable at any level. Strict action will be taken in such incidents. The first duty of the health department is to give first aid to the people coming for health services in any situation and to satisfy them with the services of the government.

Let us inform that Balwant Lal had reached Almora District Hospital with his five-year-old son Aarush, who was suffering from fever late on Tuesday night. During this, the doctor posted in the emergency was so intoxicated that he was not even in a position to write the form.
