Delhi: Signed again, 45 files did not have CM Kejriwal’s signature, LG returned the files

There has been a tussle once again between the Kejriwal government and Lt Governor VK Saxena in Delhi. This time a new dispute has started over files without signature. The Lt Governor has returned more than 45 such files, on which  There was no signature of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The Lt Governor has asked the Kejriwal government to send these files only after signing it. At the same time, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has jumped in this signature controversy. He has targeted LG.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has given a big blow to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He has written a letter to the CM accusing him of violating the procedures laid down in the files. In the more than 45 files that the LG office sent back to the AAP government, CM Kejriwal’s signature was not there.

Files of Education Department and Waqf Board are also included.

According to reports, the LG office has returned more than 45 files to the Delhi CM. These files were signed by the employees of the Chief Minister’s office. According to news agency ANI, these files belong to the national capital’s education department and the Waqf Board.  Paperwork is included.

Not following the rules regarding signature

As per the directions of the Lieutenant Governor, the rules for signing files are being flouted.  The Chief Minister was asked to sign every file in the interest of smooth and effective governance.  He has also asked the Chief Minister to implement the e-office system prevalent in most of the government offices, so that the movement of files remains smooth.

Objection to not having Kejriwal’s signature

The files which are being sent by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for the consideration, opinion and approval of the LG, are being returned due to lack of signature.  In this regard, experts say that Kejriwal’s attitude is completely different from the earlier Chief Ministers.  In Delhi, such files were duly signed by chief ministers between 1993 and 2013.  However, the files being sent from Kejriwal’s office to the LG are not being signed.

It is written on the files – ‘CM has seen’

Actually, on the files sent from the Chief Minister’s Office to the officers of the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, it is written that ‘CM has seen and approved and ‘CM has seen’. That is, the Chief Minister has approved after seeing the file or the Chief Minister has seen the file.  But, they do not have the signature of the Chief Minister.

It’s not okay to ignore the rules

Experts say that this is in a way a violation of the rules and also ignoring the prescribed procedures.  Must be signed with CM’s Remark.  Such files contain very sensitive matters relating to the administration and governance of the national capital.

Sisodia said – this is a routine process

At the same time, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia reacted to the return of files bearing the signatures of the CMO staff instead of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from the LG office.  He said – this is a routine process.  Behave like LG sir.
