Uttarakhand / Uttarkashi : one person died due to flowing in yamuna river
Police and SDRF have rescued the body of a person who washed away in Yamuna river on Friday evening in Sayanchatti. The body was sent to CHC Nagaon for post-mortem.
Inspector Gajendra Bahuguna, in-charge of Barkot police station, has told that Sukh Bahadur (46) son Man Bahadur resident Sayanachatti had gone to defecate on Friday evening, when the said person slipped on his feet and fell into the Yamuna river. The relatives informed the police about this. On receiving the information, a lot of search was done by the police and SDRF in the evening, but the person could not be traced. On Saturday morning, the search was started again by SDRF, local public and Barkot police station. During the rescue, the body of the said person was found stuck on the stone under the sewing band. After taking out the body, the body has been sent to Naugaon Hospital by the police for Panchayat Nama and post-mortem proceedings.
