Babar Azam told after the match where was the mistake from Pakistan

India started their campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 with a win by registering a five-wicket win over Pakistan on Sunday night. In this exciting match reaching the last over, there was no run of runs but there was a tough competition between the two teams. Team India showed the face of defeat to Pakistan by achieving the target of 148 runs in 2 balls. After this crushing defeat against India, captain Babar Azam admitted that his team had scored 10-15 runs less, while he also explained why he got the last over from spinner Nawaz.

Babar Azam said after the match ‘The way we started with the ball was fantastic. We had scored 10-15 runs short. The bowlers performed brilliantly to add excitement to the match. The lower order batsmen helped the team by scoring good runs in the end. We wanted to take the match till the end, due to which Nawaz’s over was stopped till the last, the effort was to create pressure but Hardik finished the match in a good manner. Naseem Shah is a young bowler and he did a great job.

Talking about the competition, after losing the toss, the Pakistan team had set a target of 148 runs in front of India. This score could have been around 130, but in the end Shahnawaz Dahani scored 16 runs in 6 balls to take the team close to 150.

Chasing the target, the start of the Indian team was not good. KL Rahul was dismissed for a golden duck, while captain Rohit Sharma scored 18 runs. Kohli got the luck in the beginning but he could not convert the start into a big score and was dismissed after scoring 35 runs. Jadeja then made an important contribution of 35 runs, while in the end Hardik scored an unbeaten innings of 33 runs in 17 balls to win the game.
