Uttar Pradesh : Owaisi’s tweet escalates controversy after case against 27 people for mass prayers in Moradabad

In Moradabad, even after the protest of Hindu society in village Dulhepur of Chhajlat police station area, the controversy about offering Namaz collectively in the village has gained momentum. The police is investigating by registering a case against 27, naming 17 people in this case. Meanwhile, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has stirred controversy by tweeting about it. Moradabad Police has also responded to the tweet and said that despite the absence of a mosque in Dulhepur, a large number of people gathered for Namaz. Action is being taken after registering the case after the complaint.
Let us inform that Nanhe, Chanderpal, Baburam, Murari Singh etc. of Dulhepur village had complained to the police and told that people from other communities are offering Namaz collectively from place to place. This has created an atmosphere of tension between the two communities in the village. In this context, it was decided in the Panchayat held earlier between the people of both the communities that the people of the other community would not offer Namaz collectively.
For a few days, Namaz was not offered collectively but again in violation of the agreement, the place was changed and started. On the information of the villagers, the police inspected the spot. The allegations were found to be true. On this basis, the police registered a case against 17 named and ten unknowns including Wahid, Anwar, Mustakim, Saeed, Zakir, Alisher, Ramzani, Muslim, Mohammad Ali, Ida, Hakamli, Hanif, Shokeen, Salim, Noora, Aslam. CO Kanth Saloni Agarwal confirmed the registration of the case. Said that the matter is being investigated. Those who disturb the atmosphere will not be spared at any cost.
Owaisi tweeted, can’t now offer Namaz even in homes

On Monday, when Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted about the Dulhepur Namaz controversy, a new debate started on social media. Owaisi has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the tweet. It has been said that ‘Muslims in India can no longer offer Namaz even at home? Do you have to take permission from the government/police to offer Namaz now? Narendra Modi should answer this, by when will Muslims be treated as second class urbanites in the country?’.
On the other hand, Moradabad Police has given its stand on this tweet that where Namaz was being offered, there is no mosque but only two houses. An FIR has been registered against 27 people including both the house owners.
