Uttarakhand / Pauri : Students upset due to lack of teachers in school

Due to shortage of teachers in government schools, students are facing difficulties in their studies. The parents of the students are also worried due to the shortage of teachers in the schools. The school management committee and parents of Rauma Vidyalaya Manvati of Dewal block of Chamoli district have reached Pauri and raised their demand from the Additional Director Secondary Education Garhwal Mandal to fill up the vacant posts in the school soon.
The delegation met Additional Director Secondary Education Garhwal Mandal Mahavir Singh Bisht told that this school is a remote village school. At present 65 children are studying in this school. The post of teacher in science subject in the school is running vacant since 2006, while the post of teacher of mathematics subject is running vacant since 2021. He said that due to non-availability of teachers in these subjects, students are facing problems in studies. He raised the demand from AD to post teachers on vacant posts soon. The delegation also raised the demand for up-gradation of the school to the CM, Education Minister and AD. Said that since three years there is a demand for upgradation of the school, but till now no steps are being taken in this direction even though the school meets all the standards of upgradation. AD assured the delegation of appropriate action. The delegation included Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee Gopal Ram, Hema Devi, Parvati Devi, Jai Singh, Man Singh etc.
