Uttarakhand will become an ideal state, Champawat will be a model district – CM Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the ‘Himalayan Ecosystem’ brainstorming program with Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India, Hasco, U-Cost and other subject experts under Uttarakhand @ 25- Adarsh Champawat in Chief Sevak Sadan, located in the Chief Minister’s Office. On this occasion the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Padma Bhushan Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, Scientific Secretary Principal Scientific Adviser Dr. Parvinder Maini, DG UCOST Prof. Durgesh Pant was present. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand is not only a hill state, it is also an integral part of the Himalayan ecosystem. Bodhisattva programs were organized with subject experts on various issues related to the development of Uttarakhand. Under this, self-reliant Uttarakhand @ 25 was envisaged in the presence of Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the then Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog and Dr. K Vijay Raghavan, the then Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India and experts from several leading institutions. In 2025, Uttarakhand will celebrate the silver jubilee of the establishment of the state. It is the endeavor of the state government that till then the state should be brought in the category of leading states in every field. All departments have been targeted for this.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in the land of Baba Kedarnath that this decade would be the decade of Uttarakhand. Everyone has to contribute to make Uttarakhand the best state. Champawat district has been taken as model district to make Uttarakhand an ideal state. Champawat district consists of plain, high and middle Himalayan region. UCOST has been made nodal to make Champawat a model district. He said that in this age of scientific and technology, special attention is needed on research, research and innovation. The Chief Minister said that it is the endeavor of the State Government to provide maximum employment and self-employment opportunities to the local people in their area. For this, many schemes are being run by the state government and special attention is being paid to simplification of all processes. With the help of science and technology, there is a need to focus on the development of schemes keeping in mind the needs of the area.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has immense potential to work in the field of agriculture, horticulture, tourism, energy. Work is being done in coordination between economy and ecology. He said that along with development, continuous efforts are being made in the direction of water conservation and environmental protection. The Chief Minister urged the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India that semiconductor and R.C. The possibilities of construction should also be considered. Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood said that we can work as a Catalyst from the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor. All possible help will be given to the state. He said that the churning which is happening today. We will have to make efforts from today itself to see its very pleasant results in a year. The Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor is associated with Uttarakhand for a long time. GDP and GEP Uttarakhand is moving ahead with the harmony of it, it is a good initiative. Along with disaster management, eco system restoration, water management system, special attention should also be given to girl education. He said that whatever suggestions are received in this brainstorming, full cooperation will be given in them.
HASCO founder Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi said that Uttarakhand is a Himalayan state. Being a Himalayan state, the responsibility of Uttarakhand increases further. Along with development, natural balance is also necessary. Commendable efforts are also being made in this direction in the state. We have to move forward by using our resources properly.
Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu said that everyone will have to make efforts to move forward with full energy for the overall development of the state. Uttarakhand is a state with extreme geographical conditions. The state has both plains and hills. Half of Dehradun and Nainital districts are plain and half mountainous. For the development of Uttarakhand state, only one policy cannot be made for plain and hill districts. There can be well-planned planning for the development of the state by making a separate policy for plain districts and separate policy for hill districts. Work is also being done on this. He said that Uttarakhand will have to develop its own model and take the lead. Analyzing problems and finding solutions. There are many natural resources in Uttarakhand, by making good use of these resources, we have to move forward by increasing balance in the economy and ecology.
