Uttarakhand : Newly appointed Director General of Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, took charge in the Department of Information and Public Relations

Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that the Information Department has an important role to play in bringing the plans and policies of the government to the public. Special attention should be given to the use of new technology with better coordination with the media. Various publicity mediums should be used so that the information about the schemes of the government is easily accessible to the general public.

The Director General of Information said that special attention should be paid to the use of information technology for the promotion of the schemes of the government. Public welfare schemes and policies of the government should be brought to the public by better coordination with the media through print, electronic media as well as social media. He said that special attention should also be paid to the strengthening of District Information Offices, so that the schemes of the government can be widely publicized and disseminated in the remote areas of the state. After assuming charge, Banshidhar Tiwari inquired about the departmental works.

Additional Director Dr. Anil Chandola, Joint Director Ashish Tripathi, Deputy Director Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Director Ravi Bijarani and other departmental officers were present on the occasion.
