When the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri was released in theatres, no one thought that through this film, Vivek would be able to bring the 32-year-old pain of Kashmiri Pandits to the big screen. The horror of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits was shown in the film. However, as soon as ‘Kashmir Files’ was released, a debate started among the people as to who is to blame for Kashmiris? In the midst of all this, the Supreme Court on Friday heard a petition seeking an SIT probe into the targeted killings of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir in 1990, which was rejected by the court. Vivek Agnihotri has now reacted to this decision of the court.
In fact, soon after the Supreme Court’s decision, Vivek Agnihotri made a tweet, expressing grief over the rejection of the demand for hearing. Vivek Agnihotri wrote in his tweet, ‘Once again the judiciary has let down the victims of Hindu genocide in Kashmir. once again. There is no #RightToJustice for the Hindu minority of Kashmir.

Vivek Agnihotri had made a tweet even before the Supreme Court hearing, in which he described today’s day as very important. Vivek shared the post of a media house in his tweet, which has a map of Kashmir next to the picture of the Supreme Court and ‘The Kashmir Files’ is written in this map. With this he wrote, ‘Today is the acid test of the judiciary.’
Let us tell you that in a PIL filed by the NGO We the Citizen, there was a demand to set up an SIT to investigate the killings and atrocities of Kashmiri Pandits and Sikhs in the Kashmir Valley between 1990 and 2003. The petition also sought a probe into the killing of Kashmiri Pandits killed in the Kashmir Valley in recent months.
