Hinamanor cyclonic storm reached China-Japan, flights canceled, ferry service stalled

This year’s most powerful cyclonic storm Hinamor has reached China and Japan. Due to this, ferry services have been stopped in cities of East China. Flights in Japan have also been suspended due to the effects of the storm. Due to this cyclonic storm, there was heavy rain and strong winds in Taiwan and Korea. More than 50 thousand policemen have been deployed in Shanghai, stopping ferry services. These policemen are doing rescue work in the danger areas. Along with this, they are also telling the way to the people trapped there.

All classes for Monday in Wenzhou’s eastern business hub have been postponed due to inclement weather. Hurricane Hinamor is predicted to move towards the East China Sea at a speed of 175 kmph. Work has begun to evacuate areas and cancel flights on Japan’s southern Okinawa Island. There is also a possibility that due to this cyclonic storm there may be heavy rains and floods.

China’s Central Meteorological Center issued a yellow warning about the storm at 10 am on Sunday. Along with this, heavy rain has been warned in north-east Xijiang, Shanghai and Taiwan. Sea-going ships were told to return to shore. Along with this, people were also asked to avoid going out. Heavy rain and strong winds have wreaked havoc on Okinawa and surrounding islands in Japan. For fear of flooding, flights connecting to other islands have been stopped here.
