Jammu jawan kills wife and daughter in Assam, domestic dispute is being said to be the reason – accused arrested

An Army jawan hailing from Khud, a border area in Jammu, allegedly killed his wife and daughter in Assam over a domestic dispute. The accused Ravinder Kumar was working as a constable in the Assam Rifles and was presently posted in Srikona, Assam. Police has arrested him.

According to the information, the bodies of Ravinder’s 32-year-old wife Monica Dogra and 10-year-old daughter Riddhi, a resident of Dhoonchak village in Assam, were found soaked in blood in their quarters in the military camp itself. Both their throats were brutally slit and they died on the spot. Seeing the dead bodies lying in the quarters, other jawans living in the camp informed the police.

It is being told that Ravinder Kumar was absconding from the spot and when the police interrogated him after looking for him, he accepted the charge of killing his wife and daughter. According to sources, Ravinder has carried out this heinous incident due to a domestic dispute. The bodies of both the mother and daughter have been kept by the police at the Silchar Medical College Hospital for post-mortem, where the police are waiting for Monika’s relatives to arrive.
