The danger is increasing rapidly towards the earth, it will end if it collides! Scientists warn

An asteroid bigger than London’s Big Ben Tower is moving rapidly towards Earth. After which once again there is a fear of great untoward happening in the world. However, it is not yet known which part of the world the asteroid will collide with.

Scientists have named it 2008 RW. This has been going around for many years. Every three to four weeks it passes near the earth. It is being said that this time in September, it may pass closer than necessary. That is, if the Earth’s gravity pulls it towards itself, then it can cause great devastation. The name of this Asteroid is 2008 RW. This very large rock comes close to the earth only once in three or four years. But its latest flyby (closer to Earth’s orbit) is about to be closer than ever and it is set to crash into Earth’s orbit. According to media reports, it is ready to enter the Earth’s orbit on September 13 at around 1.50 pm according to Indian time. This Asteroid can move forward at a speed of 10 kilometers per second.

NASA’s eye on the matter

According to an published report in ‘The Daily Star’, the movement of the 160-metre-long Asteroid 2008 RW is being closely monitored by the US Space Agency NASA. Scientists have also told that the asteroid is coming close to us by traveling from a distance of about 6.7 million kilometers from the earth. However, it is not yet clear that if it hits the Earth, then where will its landing be. In view of its intensity, the agency NASA has kept this development in its watch list.

Agency statement

According to NASA, Asteroid 2008 RW was discovered on September 02, 2008. It completes one revolution around the Sun in 1023 days. The distance of asteroid 2008 RW from Earth is currently 51.63 million kilometres, which is equivalent to 0.35 astronomical units. It takes two minutes and 52 seconds for light to travel from asteroid 2008 RW and reach Earth. The exact size of this asteroid is not clear. According to an estimate, its area can range from 73 meters to 164 meters. Which will be twice as high as the Big Ben of London and the Taj Mahal of India.
