Uttarakhand : Congress leader Harpal Saathi joined BJP, more than 100 people also joined BJP

Harpal Saathi, Congress leader from Haridwar has joined BJP. State President Mahendra Bhatt and former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank got the membership of BJP by wearing a patka at the BJP state headquarters. More than a hundred people also joined the BJP along with Harpal Saathi. It is being seen by linking it with the equations of Haridwar Panchayat elections.

At the same time, the police is working day and night to conduct the Haridwar three-tier panchayat elections peacefully. Along with this, village-to-village meetings are also being taken. The message is being given that do not fall under any temptation regarding voting, use your vote impartially.

There has been a lot of activity in the villages regarding the Panchayat elections. The villagers are seen divided into different camps. The police are taking meetings of the villagers to ensure that the mutual disputes in the villages do not take the form of conflict in the elections. At the same time, 87 licensees deposited arms in Roorkee Kotwali. Kotwali Roorkee in-charge Inspector Devendra Singh Chauhan visited several villages late Saturday evening and held a meeting with the villagers.

Inspector Devendra Singh Chauhan said that no villager should slap any candidate or his supporter on any matter. If any candidate and his supporters distribute liquor or anything else, then complain to the police. His complaint will be kept confidential. Police will take immediate action in such cases. Police held meetings with villagers in villages like Brahmpuri, Belda, Jalalpur, Jaurasi etc.

Roorkee-in-charge Inspector Devendra Singh Chauhan told that during the Panchayat elections, the licensee is running a campaign to deposit the licensed weapons so that the weapons are not misused. If any licensee does not deposit arms, action will be taken against him. A report will be sent for the cancellation of his license.
