Congress got angry when Sitharaman reprimanded the DM of Telangana, said- pretending to be good in the eyes of the PM

The Congress on Saturday termed Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s reprimanding of Kamareddy District Magistrate Jitesh Patil in Telangana as “indecent” behaviour, alleging that he did this “drama” to remain good in the eyes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
National Food Security Act was enacted by Dr. Manmohan Singh's Govt in Sept 2013. There was no expectation that photographs of political leaders will be used to claim credit. Such melodrama from Finance Minister to remain in the good books of Prime Minister is highly unbecoming! https://t.co/gmP6Uf9aI9

Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “Manmohan Singh’s government brought the National Food Security Act in September 2013. There was no expectation that photographs of politicians would be used to take credit. It is very unbearable for the Finance Minister to make such a drama to remain good in the eyes of the Prime Minister.
On Friday, Sitharaman had slammed Kamareddy District Magistrate Patil for not responding when asked about the share of the Center and the state in the supply of rice through fair price shops. During the inspection of a PDS (Public Distribution System) shop in Birkur, the Union Minister had also asked the District Magistrate why there is no picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi there.
