Election Commission gave important order from linking voter ID card with Aadhar card

In view of transparency in elections, the Election Commission has launched a voluntary campaign across the country to link voter ID with Aadhaar, but in many states, there are complaints of pressure on voters to link Aadhaar with it, saying it is mandatory. Is. At present, the Commission has once again directed the Chief Electoral Officers of all the states to investigate after such complaints came to the fore. It has also clarified that the linking of voter ID card with Aadhaar is completely voluntary. In such a situation, no one should be pressurized about it.

Election Commission alerted by releasing video

The Election Commission was getting these complaints from different platforms of social media for the last several days. Meanwhile, the commission has also released a video regarding this on Tuesday. In which it has been clarified that linking of voter ID card with Aadhaar is voluntary. No person’s name will be removed from the voter list if it is not linked with Aadhaar. In such a situation, if anyone tries to spread confusion, then be careful about it.

Commission issued guidelines

The commission had earlier shared the guidelines issued for linking voter ID card with Aadhaar on social media. In which complete information has been given about how to link voter ID card with Aadhaar. Along with this, it was also said to give training to the booth level officer regarding this.

Voter ID card to be linked with Aadhaar till 2024 elections

It is worth noting that the Election Commission has started a fast campaign these days to link the voter ID card with Aadhaar across the country. For this, camps are being organized at different places. It is the effort of the commission that this campaign should be completed as soon as possible, so that a clean voter list can be arrived by the 2024 general elections. The Commission believes that by linking the Aadhaar with the voter ID card, duplication in it will also end. At present, there are a large number of such names in the voter list, which are registered in many places. Especially the names of most of the people coming from the village to the city are recorded at both the places. Along with this, fake names entered in the voter list will also be eliminated.

Thus, it will strengthen India's commitment to fight offshore tax evasion and tax avoidance practices leading to generation of unaccounted black money. Background: There was no such agreement with Saint Vincent and The Grenadines in the past and India was negotiating this agreement since a long time. Finally, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines agreed to conclude this agreement with India which will promote tax cooperation between the two countries through exchange of information and assistance in collection of outstanding tax claims between the two countries.
