Lumpy disease is wreaking havoc in many states including Rajasthan. This virus spread in cattle is being compared to the deadly corona virus for humans. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, thousands of cows have died due to this disease.

The situation is that due to the high numbers, the cows are being thrown in the open instead of being buried. Due to this the stink is spreading in the residential areas. There is a danger of new disease for humans. Lumpi is wreaking havoc in about ten districts of Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, more than 50 thousand cows have died in the last one month.

300 cows are dying everyday in Bikaner
The situation is worst in Jodhpur, Jalore, Pali and Bikaner. In Bikaner, the situation is frightening these days. Around 300 cows are dying every day in the surrounding areas of the city. At the same time, the administration and the local people are throwing cows and other dead animals in the open dumping yard of Jobir, about ten kilometers from the city itself.

This area of Jobir is marked only for the dumping yard of animals. This entire area is known for vultures. Here in the past also, dead camels and animals have been thrown for vultures, but this time the number of animals is more. Due to this, the carcasses of cows have spread all around here and due to less number of vultures, the carcasses are rotting here.

The stench is such that it is difficult to stay for 5 kms. The population of 50 thousand people of Garhwal, Surdhana, Kilchu, Ambasar, Nano ka Bass, Gigasar around this area is very troubled by the smell. At the same time, at Lunkaransar (Bikaner), the carcasses of cows can be seen scattered only at some distance from the National Highway.
