Uttarakhand : Mother Nanda-Sunanda’s cheers in the procession, gathered to bid farewell, devotees became emotional

A grand procession of mother Nanda-Sunanda’s dole was taken out in Nainital and Almora on Wednesday. The whole city gathered to bid farewell to Mother Nanda-Sunanda. The Nanda Devi temple complex was packed for the mother’s darshan. In the markets of the city, people saw the mother from the roofs and balconies of the house.
From place to place, women gave a heartfelt farewell to mother Nanda-Sunanda by offering flowers and Akshat on the dole. With the release of Dola, the seven-day Nanda Devi fair has also come to an end. At the time of farewell from mother Nanda Sunanda’s maternal uncle, the women involved in the Dole Yatra became emotional.
On Wednesday, on Ekadashi, a procession of mother Nanda-Sunanda’s dole came out from the famous Nanda Devi temple complex of Almora, before which aarti of mother Nanda-Sunanda was performed in the temple. Dole’s procession came out with the sound of conch shell at 4:15 pm.
Dola was stopped on Mall Road in front of Maa Bhagwati temple located near GGIC complex via Nanda Devi market, Mall road. According to tradition, Nanda Sunanda was given darshan of the temple from here. This Bhagwati temple is also called the maternal uncle of Maa Nanda Sunanda.
After giving Nanda-Sunanda darshan of the maiden, the procession reached Naula located at Dugalkhola via Mall Road via Ladder Bazar, Kachari Bazar, Johri Bazar, Gangola Mohalla, Thana Bazar, Paltan Bazar, Circuit House.
The idols of Mother Nanda-Sunanda were immersed by law. The people involved in the Shobha Yatra were walking chanting the praises of Mother Nanda-Sunanda. The whole city gathered to bid farewell to Mother Nanda-Sunanda.
The Chand descendants and the Rajpurohit family worshiped Mother Nanda-Sunanda in Doolipokhar. Dinesh Pant, Vijay Pant, Hema Pant, Hema Pandey, Vinod Pandey, Deep Pandey, Aditya Pant, Jai Shree Pandey, Deep Shree Pandey, Garvit Pandey etc. After performing the aarti of Mother Nanda-Sunanda, she wished for happiness and peace.
Artists tied the knot in the Star Night held in the grounds of Adams Girls Inter College on late Tuesday night in the fair. Star artist singer Jitendra Tomkyal and Meghna Chandra made the audience shudder with their scintillating rendition of the songs.
