Discussions once again intensified after Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal’s meeting with BJP’s national general secretary and Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam on Wednesday. Aggarwal is understood to have given his stand regarding 72 appointments made in the assembly. These appointments were made in the year 2021 during Agarwal’s tenure as the Speaker of the Assembly.

It’s not Agarwal’s fault in this

However, in a conversation with Dainik Jagran, the state in-charge Gautam gave a clean chit to Agarwal and said that there was no fault of Aggarwal in this. According to the system which was running, the appointments were made. He said that the investigation of the recruitment case is going on, action will be taken against those who are found guilty. Along with this, a transparent system will be made for the future. The central leadership of the BJP is also continuously taking information about the recruitment episode of the assembly. The Uttarakhand in-charge of the party, Gautam, is keeping an eye on this. Cabinet Minister Agarwal met Gautam, who arrived in Dehradun on Wednesday on a two-day visit. On the other hand, Cabinet Minister Agrawal said that organizational topics were discussed in the meeting with the Uttarakhand in-charge. Gautam also inquired from him about the schemes of public interest going on in the state. During this, Agarwal said that the state government is working with development and transparency under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Whoever has messed up, he will suffer and must also suffer

Former Chief Minister and Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat has reacted sharply to the recruitment case of the Vidhan Sabha. Talking to the media, Tirath said that his personal opinion is that whoever has done wrong, whether it is a politician or an officer, he will suffer and he should also suffer. Targeting the cabinet minister Premchand Agarwal in gestures, he said that if the earlier ones have made a mistake, it does not mean that we should repeat the same. He said that if there are any irregularities in the recruitment, then it should be canceled immediately.

The inquiry committee studied the files

The expert committee, which was probing the irregularities in the recruitment in the assembly, studied the appointment letters in the assembly on Wednesday for the fourth consecutive day. The chairman of the inquiry committee, retired IAS DK Kotia and members Surendra Singh Rawat and Avnendra Singh Nayal had recently received the files of 222 appointments made in the Assembly Secretariat from the year 2012 to 2021. On Wednesday, the committee scrutinized each and every file to see whether the rules and regulations were followed in the appointment.
