Delhi Police’s ASI Yunus Khan dies in suspicious condition, dead body found inside the house

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Delhi Police died under suspicious circumstances on Saturday. ASI’s body was found inside his house. On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem.

Delhi Police said that ASI Yunus Khan posted at Kamla Market Crime Branch office was found dead at his house on Mirdard Road on Saturday. There are no marks of injury on his body. The body has been sent for postmortem.

ASI Yunus is survived by 2 wives and 10 children. Police is questioning the family members. Police say that the cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report comes.

Suspected robbers shot man in Delhi
At the same time, a 28-year-old man was shot at by suspected robbers in West Delhi’s Hari Nagar area when he was chasing them. Giving information about this on Saturday, the police said that on Friday night at around 10:55 pm, a person had put his hand on the shoulder of Mandeep Singh, a resident of Tilak Nagar near DTC depot, Hari Nagar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Ghanshyam Bansal said Mandeep Singh felt that the man tried to steal his gold chain and started chasing him. The man was accompanied by two other people. When Mandeep Singh was chasing the trio, he opened fire on them. Mandeep was shot in the back.

The DCP said that he was taken to the hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable. In this case, a case has been registered at Hari Nagar police station under sections of IPC and Arms Act. Bansal said that several teams have been formed to nab the culprits.
