Maharashtra : The Uddhav faction retaliated by releasing the photo of Memon’s brother with Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Devendra Fadnavis
The case of trying to give the shape of a tomb to Yakub Memon’s grave in Maharashtra has now taken a new political turn. After the video of Rauf Memon, cousin of Yakub Memon with Shiv Sena leader Kishori Pednekar of the Uddhav faction, went viral on social media, the BJP attacked, they have also retaliated. Former Mayor Kishori Pednekar has released pictures of Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari with Rauf Memon on social media.
Recently, pictures of the decoration of the grave of Mumbai bomb blasts convict Yakub Memon, buried in Mumbai’s Bada graveyard, were revealed. The BJP had alleged that an attempt was made to make Yakub Memon’s grave a mazar when Uddhav Thackeray was the Chief Minister. On this, Shiv Sena countered Aaditya Thackeray and asked the BJP why Yakub’s body was not buried in the sea like Osama bin Laden? Now BJP has attacked Uddhav faction leader and former Mayor Kishori Pednekar with a video of Yakub’s relative Rauf Memon surfaced. The BJP has alleged that the Shiv Sena leader is in discussion with the relative of the terrorist.

In response, Kishori Pednekar hit back at the BJP by tweeting one after the other on his official social media. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari released photographs honoring Rauf Memon. Not only this, Rauf’s picture has also been released with Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Pednekar has asked the BJP that what are the relatives of your leader terrorist doing?

However, no statement has been given by the BJP in response yet. But it is certain that the controversy over the decoration in the tomb of Jacob is going to increase further.

Chief Minister Shinde has also ordered an inquiry
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Friday that 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon was a criminal and cannot be glorified. We will neither accept it nor allow it to happen. I have given instructions to BMC and Mumbai Police regarding this. Home Ministry will take strict action. A day earlier, Shinde had said that an inquiry has been started to beautify the grave. The Deputy Chief Minister’s Office has asked the Mumbai Police to submit the report soon.
