Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated IRDT at Survey Chowk. Participated in the 135th birthday celebration program of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji in the auditorium. On this occasion, he paid tribute to Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji by paying tribute to him. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji was a great freedom fighter, social worker and an efficient administrator. Along with giving a new direction to the country, he played an important role in eradicating the evils prevalent in the society by making a decisive struggle for the abolition of porter, forced labor and zamindari. Before the independence of the country and even after the independence of the country, the work that he did for the service of the country, all those works will always inspire us to move forward. He devoted his whole life to social service. He played an important role in getting Hindi the status of official language.
The Chief Minister said that Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji had a special attachment towards the mountain. Despite all the problems in life, he never deviated from the path of his duty. He had important responsibilities of the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Home Minister of India. He said that taking inspiration from such a great son of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, we have to move forward. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is a youth state. In 2025, we will celebrate the silver jubilee of the establishment of Uttarakhand state. Till then, Uttarakhand should be in the category of leading states of the country in every field, for this, everyone will have to make efforts together. We have to move forward with a choiceless resolution.
Former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji spent his whole life for the country’s independence. He did the work of development of mountain and preservation of culture. He said that Uttarakhand is also Veerbhoomi along with Devbhoomi. Revolutionaries like Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant were born in this Devbhoomi. Dr. Nishank said that we have to move forward by taking inspiration from the path shown by Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant ji. They are the pride and honor of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that today the country is progressing rapidly in the field of knowledge-science research.
