Uttar Pradesh : 15 suspended in Levana fire, decree issued late night on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi

In the investigation of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob and Police Commissioner SB Shirdkar, 19 officers, engineers, employees have been found guilty for the four deaths due to fire in Hotel Levana Suites on September 5, 2022. Of these, 15 including one PCS officer in service have been suspended by the government. At the same time, departmental action has been started against all. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government took action against those responsible for the accident late in the night.

On Thursday night itself, the Divisional Commissioner and the Commissioner of Police submitted their investigation report to the Home Department. On the basis of this inquiry report, now the Chief Minister has taken strict action against the officials, engineers who were prima facie guilty and negligent for the accident.

Now on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the officers of Home Department, Appointment Department, Excise Department will have to be suspended and departmental action will have to be initiated. Action will also be taken against the retired responsibilities as per departmental rules. The spokesman of the government says that the Chief Minister has given instructions for action after receiving the inquiry report.

Energy Department: Vijay Kumar Rao, Assistant Director, Electrical Safety, Ashish Kumar Mishra, Under Engineer, Rajesh Kumar Mishra, SDO

Appointment Department : Mahendra Kumar Mishra, PCS, then prescribed authority LDA, (existing Additional Commissioner, Lucknow Division)

Housing Department, LDA : Arun Kumar Singh, Retired Executive Engineer, Om Prakash Mishra, Retired Executive Engineer
