Waqf Board will remove illegal structures built on its land, bulldozers will be bought! Shadab Shams said – “Uttarakhand is not Dharamshala”

Uttarakhand Waqf Board will soon remove illegal structures from its properties in the state. The new chairman of the board, Shadab Shams, gave this information on Sunday. Shams was elected unopposed as the chairman of the 10-member board on September 7. He says that there is illegal encroachment on Waqf properties worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore in Uttarakhand. In its meeting to be held on September 15, the board will present a proposal to buy or hire the necessary bulldozers to remove illegal encroachments from waqf land across the state.
Shadab Shams said, “Thousands of acres of waqf land is illegally occupied in different parts of the state. We want to free our properties from the clutches of the mafia so that they can be useful to the people they really belong to.” He said that the illegal occupants were being served notices and action would be initiated sometime next week.
“Uttarakhand is not Dharamshala”
Shadab Shams said, “The action will start from Prem Nagar in Dehradun, where 14 bighas of waqf land is occupied by Aligarh Muslims. They had come here years ago to work in factories in the Selaki area and made their home. About 200 families live on this land. He said, “Who knows who they are. They could be people with dubious backgrounds. Uttarakhand is not Dharamsala.”
