Uttar Pradesh Police issued social media rules, if not accepted, action will be taken

You must have also seen videos and reels on social media. The trend of watching and making reels is in full swing these days. Whoever you see is making reels. Social media also makes some interesting reels viral. Uniformed policemen are also not behind in making reels. Videos and reels of many uniformed policemen have gone viral on social media. In such a situation, now Social Media Guidelines have been fixed for the policemen in Uttar Pradesh. Strict action will now be taken against policemen in Uttar Pradesh for making reels, lip-smacking on dialogues and songs of films and uploading videos of dancing and singing in uniform. Uttar Pradesh Police has released the list of rules for the personnel active on social media.
Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order Prashant Kumar (ADG Law & Order Prashant Kumar) said – ‘Anything compromising with the dignity of the uniform will not be allowed. This is against the service conduct rules of the government. Action will be taken against the violators of the rules by the district police chief. For the first time, the police department has come up with a comprehensive code of conduct regarding the use of social media. A senior official said that since every post/video on social media can be easily accessed by people, it was necessary for the police to make social media rules. Policemen have also been instructed not to put their photographs/videos in khaki or display their weapons.
