Bihar : CM Nitish summoned DGP regarding Begusarai shooting, said – investigate from every angle
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar summoned DGP SK Singhal on Wednesday regarding the shooting incident in Bihar’s Begusarai. The DGP was called to the CM residence, where Nitish Kumar talked about the Begusarai incident. After this, CM Nitish Kumar gave a statement and said that I have instructed the officials to keep an eye on such incidents. “We have called a meeting and discussed the incident in detail. This incident should be probed from every angle. A few days back, I had a meeting to review the law and order situation in the state,” he said.
Four teams were formed to investigate the matter
Seven policemen have been suspended after investigation so far in the case of indiscriminate firing in different police station areas of Begusarai district in Bihar, while five suspects are being interrogated in custody. Here, the places of the police team that went out on patrol during the incident were also investigated, in which negligence was found. Patrol team chiefs have been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. He said that in this case, five people are being questioned by custodial and those who have been released from jail in the recent past are also being investigated.
It is worth noting that on Tuesday evening, in different police station areas of Begusarai district, miscreants on a bike opened indiscriminate fire on 11 people, in which one person was killed. All the injured are being treated in the hospital.
