Regarding the recruitment scam in the hill state of Uttarakhand (UKSSSC Recruitment Scam 2022), on Thursday, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this scam was going on for a long time and there was no investigation against it. While addressing a program in Chamoli, Dhami said, the recruitment scam that is coming in front of you was not going on for 1-2 years but for a long time. There has never been an inquiry against it. As soon as the matter came to my notice, we decided that we will not allow the future of our children to be played with at any cost. He said, so far 39 people have been arrested by Uttarakhand STF (Special Task Force). The investigation will not stop until every person involved in the scam reaches the jail. He said, we have decided in the cabinet that our 7 thousand vacancies which are vacant, will get them all done through Public Service Commission.

In his address, the Chief Minister of the state said, our only goal is to make Uttarakhand the best state in the country under the leadership of PM Modi. We have formed a committee on Uniform Civil Code as soon as the new government is formed. The 5-member committee has also started dialogue with the public.
The Uttarakhand High Court on Monday directed the state government to submit a detailed report before September 21 on alleged irregularities in the appointments made by UKSSSC. Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra issued this direction while hearing a PIL by Congress MLA from Khatima Bhuvan Kapri, seeking a CBI inquiry into the irregularities.
