Children born on PM Modi’s birthday in Tamil Nadu will get gold rings, BJP unit announced

The Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to give gold rings to newborn babies on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Other schemes include distribution of 720 kg fish on the occasion. L Murugan, Minister of State for Fisheries and Information and Broadcasting said, “We have chosen the Government RSRM Hospital in Chennai where gold rings will be given to all babies born on the PM’s birthday.”

Murugan was questioned about the expenses involved in the ring distribution program. In response, he said that each ring would be of around 2 grams of gold, which could cost around Rs 5000. He said that this is not Rewari given free of cost. Rather, through this we want to welcome those born on the birthday of the Prime Minister. BJP’s local unit estimates that 10-15 babies can be born in this hospital on September 17.

Preparation for distributing 720 kg of fish

The southern state has come up with another unique scheme on this occasion. “The constituency of Chief Minister MK Stalin has been chosen for distribution of 720 kg fish,” the fisheries minister said. The objective of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme is to encourage the consumption of fish. So, we are taking this step. Yes, we know PM is vegetarian. Actually, this time Modi is turning 72, so the figure of 720 has been chosen.
