Speculations have started once again regarding the transfer of Uttarakhand High Court from Nainital city to some other place. It is believed that soon the state government can put its stamp on this. There has been a discussion for a long time about shifting the High Court from Nainital to some other city. On behalf of the High Court, suggestions were sought from the advocates and people in this regard some time back. Then most of the people had given majority suggestions to shift the High Court from Nainital to some other place.

This proposal has been submitted to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who visited Nainital on August 28. According to information received from highly placed sources, this proposal has been submitted during the formal meeting of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and the Chief Minister.
It has also been learned that the Chief Minister has been asked to consider this proposal. Now the ball is in the court of the government and it is believed that the government can take a decision on this soon. It should also be mentioned here that there has been a discussion for a long time regarding the shifting of the High Court to Haldwani to Gaulapar. It is being told that land has also been selected for this in Gaulapar. After the consent of the government, the process of transfer of forest land can start.
