Uttarakhand / Vikasnagar : Doctor jumped in Shakti canal, was under stress after wife’s death
Dr Hansraj Arora, the city’s eminent physician, jumped into the Shakti canal. Dr. Arora was under stress for a long time. He started living in depression after the death of his wife. He has jumped into the power canal once before.
The body of Dr Hansraj Arora has been recovered from Dhakrani Power House Intake. The doctor reached Shakti Nagar alone from home at around 12:00 late on Saturday night.
Between bridge number 1 and 2, the doctor jumped into the Shakti canal, after which he drowned and disappeared. According to Kotwal Shankar Singh Bisht, the police reached the spot in the night itself, but no clue could be found. The water police kept searching for the missing doctor after drowning in the Shakti canal.
Body recovered from Dhakrani power house intake
During the search on Sunday, the body of Dr Hansraj Arora was recovered from Dhakrani Power House Intake. Police is taking action of Panchnama by taking the dead body in possession. After which the body was sent to the mortuary for post-mortem.
Water Police started the search on Sunday
According to Kotwal Shankar Singh Bisht, the police reached the spot in the night itself, but no clue could be found. The water police started the search on Sunday. Also asked Dhakrani Power House personnel to inform if any dead body is seen.
Power house personnel reported the dead body lying
The police was searching for the dead body when in the meantime the power house personnel informed about the dead body lying in the intake. When the police took out the body, it turned out to be the body of Dr. Hansraj Arora.
