Another case of corruption in Uttarakhand! Serious allegations against the director of the Horticulture Department

Investigation against the director of the Horticulture Department
Harminder Singh Baweja, director of the Uttarakhand Horticulture Department, is under investigation these days. He has been accused of irregularities in the purchase of plants and several festivals of the Horticulture Department. To investigate these irregularities, Horticulture Minister Ganesh Joshi has given an inquiry against him to Secretary Horticulture BVRC Purushottam last week, but Harminder Singh remains in his post even after a week. Whereas the secretary of the assembly was sent on a month’s leave after the assembly recruitment was investigated. Harminder Singh Baweja has also been asked to stay away from all programs of the Horticulture Department. When he was asked about this, he clearly said that the allegations against him are baseless but he welcomes the investigation. If any irregularity is found in the investigation, then they are definitely ready to take action. Baweja said that the allegations against me for the purchase of plants and other irregularities are part of a conspiracy.

Horminder Singh Baweja is alleged to have bought a kiwi plant worth Rs 35 at the rate of Rs 275, while no tender was made for 77000 plants. The Director of Horticulture has been accused of arbitrarily increasing the rates of ginger seeds and turmeric seeds in Uttarakhand by buying them at expensive rates, as well as spending in the name of organizing international seminars and exhibitions under which many festivals. There is also an alleged allegation of serving their own interests by completing the festival which was to be of 4 days in 3 days.
Investigation after complaints
On the other hand, Departmental Minister Ganesh Joshi clearly says that many types of complaints were coming against Horminder Singh Baweja and when he was asked to explain, he did not give any explanation to the government. After that, orders have been given to investigate against him and departmental secretary BVRC Purushottam has been given an inquiry. Action will be taken only on the basis of the inquiry report.
Horticulture director may have leave
